writingCooper the Red Heeler here with Assignment 6 in Writing 101: The Space to Write.

Where do you write? Do you prefer blogging on your laptop in a coffee shop? Are you productive in a quiet room, door closed, away from civilization? Today, describe the space where you write. Or, if you don’t have a dedicated place, what is your ideal setting?

Consider these questions to shape your post:

  • What are your writing habits?
  • What equipment or supplies do you use to write?
  • What do you need and want in a physical space?

First let me remind you that we have a mom an Administrative Assistant to help us with the actual typing of our blog posts. Jack Cat says it’s because we don’t have opposable thumbs. But I think it’s because he’s lazy and doesn’t want to do it himself. I can’t do it because I don’t know how to type, and Buffy is, well, Buffy.

Perhaps I am being unfair, I think Buffy tried once to type a post but it came out something like this…

“ajdljgpojasd lfosn DIOAFNSDNFSALKDFJAJJF kslinladkljf”

Now she just writes notes and let’s our mom admin type them.

Even though Tuxedo Jack doesn’t do the typing, he is a very paws on writer.

As for me, I am a heeler by breed. A Red Heeler to be exact. Is it a surprise that I am always at my mom’s side as she takes notes, or works on photos or artwork for our posts? Communing with my mom during the creative process is healing for both of us. Big happy sigh.

Jack says I didn’t answer the assignment. Woof… I think our photos answer the writing assignment! Sometimes we use a laptop, sometimes a tablet and sometimes we take notes. Sometimes we’re on a bed, sometimes we are at a desk and sometimes we are on a computer keyboard, literally. Always we are at home. And SOME of us work all day (cats? NOT).

Where do we like to write right now? Mom (I will NOT keep calling her my admin) likes this pretty desk in our cabin, her new laptop, and lots of post-its. I like healing, I mean heeling at her feet.

Thank you very much for reading my post. Right now I am communing this ending to Mom while she sits on her pretty purple pillow typing away, and I am very happy to be done.

Tuxedo Jack here finishing the rest of the 6th assignment in our writing class: Today, insert a poll at the end of this post to gather ideas on what to write. I don’t think I’ll ever run out of ideas, but I am open to knowing what our readers would like to hear about.

See you tomorrow with Assignment #7!

  1. Love all the photos! I’ll have to have a look around before I can tell you want I want more of, but probably all of it :)

    • You must like the left side of the keyboard Cupcake. Jack likes the back of the laptop now that Mom won’t let him on the front when it’s on the desk. Woof, Cooper
